"Blessed are the hearts that can bend; they shall never be broken."

Albert Camus

Writing, as a word, sounds like work. I think I prefer "storytelling" or "creating surprises," as those are really what I do. I've found inspiration in likely and unlikely places and will frequently jot down a word, phrase, or song to serve as the seedling from which will spring a story or poem. Take a trip with me through some dark and light places. Even I do not always know where we'll wind up.

I want to sit by you at the end of days

To watch the stars fall from the sky

As the sun breathes a death rattle

The knife edge of life is ours

And we gladly bleed our last upon it

- Jack Malloy
